Tony Tressider

A little about me!

I found myself in a city desk job & realised it was time to get out! A few years later I was in Perisher running a couple of food huts when I meet the little Swedish terrier. Some how I ended up with a career in retail, surrounded by bossy women. If any men need some light relief come and visit me in the Snowsport Coffee Club!

Lena Bostrom

A little about me!

I grew up in Sweden and found an Aussie guy skiing in Val d'Isère, who persuaded me to come to an Aussie ski r-esort. I was ski instructing in the rain when I decided there must be a better career choice for me. I opened up the Snowsport Perisher store in 1981, using my European contacts I managed to become the distribution for Sos and then went on to open the Thredbo store in 1988

I came from a free skiing background, but now really enjoy hiking and exploring new terrain.

Guess I was just born with the mountains in my blood. As soon as I could afford it, I left Sydney and went on the big working world holiday. Four years and many resorts later I ended up in Thredbo. That was 17years ago and the rest as they say is history...I now have a 2year old that just can't wait to put on her ski suit and goggles and hit the slopes!!

Sarah Nieland

A little about me!

Thredbo is home and I'm sure skiing runs in the veins (Dad was an instructor back in the late 60s.) After 8years teaching back to back winters in Thredbo, Austria, Whistler and Beaver Creek I thought I should get a real job (whatever that is) I hung up the boots for a job with Mambo and Rossignol in the City, but I missed the Mountains. Lucky for me Tony asked if I was interested in working for Snowsport over a long lunch with the usual suspects at Sante that summer and 6years on I've never looked back!

How would you describe your Skiing Style?

I used to cut it with the big boys - now I am all about the long lunch. Unfortunately, any style I had seams to go out the window by the time I ski down!!

Dead Horse Gap - its like you have escaped the world, but for a piste day Sponars Gully is my pick.

For serious vertical, spectacular scenery and wild après ski you can't go past places like St Anton and Verbier.
